Daniel is a very busy man who is not keen on spending time in the kitchen. Despite this, he manages to find time to prepare meals and do 3 workouts a week. This is truly admirable! It took him some time to decide to start working together. As he stated himself - he set about it for 6 months. He wasn't sure if he could find the time and motivation to work on his figure. He feared that changing his eating habits would be too difficult a task. He also thought that preparing healthy meals would be too time-consuming. Daniel didn't have much time or inclination to cook. The diet I put together for him is therefore based on easy-to-prepare meals. I planned it so that he could cook for 2 days straight. After just a few weeks, I found that this made cooking easier. It now takes Daniel less than an hour to prepare healthy meals for two days! Thanks to the one-to-one online collaboration, he has lost 7 kg and achieved an athletic physique. After deciding to work with Gizafit, Daniel completed a nutrition and medical questionnaire. This provided me with complete information about his training goals, habits and dietary preferences. Based on this, I developed a suitable diet and training plan. During the online consultation, we focused most on changing his eating habits. This was really key! We managed to go from 3 irregular meals to 4 at strictly set times. We also eliminated snacking during the day. Daniel was interested in figure recomposition. This means burning fat while building muscle mass. Recomposition should therefore not be confused with weight loss, which is only about reducing body weight. In the first instance, we focused on fat reduction by introducing a calorie deficit.
Daniel was consuming around 300–500 calories less than his daily requirement. At the start of the collaboration, the average weight loss was about 1 kg per week. As a result, we lost 7 kg in the first 7 weeks! After 8 weeks of such a carefully selected diet for reduction, we moved on to building up musculature. We introduced a balanced diet with increased calories. We have now been working with Daniel for 8 months. During this time we have managed to develop an athletic looking physique. His mood has also improved significantly. He now has more energy and motivation to work out!
Daniel hadn't experienced gym training before, so it was all new to him. So at the beginning we focused on improving mobility. This is a very important part of training for beginners. Improved mobility makes it easier, if not impossible, to perform certain weight-bearing exercises correctly. Daniel performed general development training 3 times a week. Functional exercises with his own body weight significantly strengthened his deep abdominal muscles and straightened his physique. Daniel once told me that the exercises didn't seem difficult until he started doing them. However, he liked his workouts almost immediately. After 8 weeks of training and dieting for reduction, we started to introduce elements of strength training. In the beginning, we focused on exercises with barbells. This not only allowed us to strengthen our muscles, but also helped to build them up. At the moment, after 8 months of working together, Daniel already has a lot of experience in the gym. All that's left for me to do is to make sure that his training is suitably varied.
